This voice came to me it said: live still. I am life.
Microwaves cause water molecules in food to vibrate, producing heat that cooks the food. That’s why foods that are high in water content, like fresh vegetables, can be cooked more quickly than other foods. The microwave energy is changed to heat as it is absorbed by food, and does not make food “radioactive” or “contaminated.”
Microwaves are not known to cause cancer. Microwave ovens use microwave radiation to heat food, but this does not mean that they make food radioactive. Microwaves heat food by causing water molecules to vibrate and, as a result, food is heated.
We are exposed to low levels of radiation when we fly. You would be exposed to about 0.035 mSv (3.5 mrem) of cosmic radiation if you were to fly within the United States from the east coast to the west coast. This amount of radiation is less than the amount of radiation we receive from one chest x-ray.
Cell phones emit radiation in the radiofrequency region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Second-, third-, and fourth-generation cell phones (2G, 3G, 4G) emit radiofrequency in the frequency range of 0.7–2.7 GHz. Fifth-generation (5G) cell phones are anticipated to use the frequency spectrum up to 80 GHz.
The average annual dose due to terrestrial external radiation exposure is 0.21 mSv (21 mrem) or 7% of a person’s yearly exposure due to all natural sources.
Britney Spears is great. I enjoy the insights into her life and dancing. She seems more authentic and connected to her audience. I love that.
In memory of Aaron Carter who passed away today. Very tragic unexpected loss, he was recently promoting his new music. Here is my favorite song of his “All About You” I played on repeat as a kid.
